Hickory River Smokehouse

Well this place was one of my all time favorites when the original owner Brad and Krista started it I was the very first customer the day before they ever opened for the public I didn't know this and they said come on in and feed me everything onthe menu to say the least the customer service was outstanding. So today I stop buy at 130 pm 2 people in line ahead of me knowbig deal so I stand and wait for my food which is 2 sandwiches 2 side and I'm still standing and waiting 30 minutes I get myfood. I received my food and it's cold tough beef brisket coleslaw was not very good at all I really hope there customerservice goes back to what it was also the food I hate to leave this review but from...

Sorry, no photos yet. This is the older location in Urbana. Haven't been to the new one yet in SW Champaign. Got the turkey meal with mixed sauce (mild/hot combined), corn, and mac-n-cheese. Turkey was a little dry but still good. Staff was super nice andvery quick. We ordered at the register and picked up our order less than 5 minutes later at the next window. Not sure if theyhave drink refills or not, but they should if they don't. My friend ordered the brisket meal with coleslaw and mac-n-cheese andthere wasn't a scrap left when he was done. BBQ was good, meats were very tender. We had the pick 3 along with 2 sides potato salad and Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese didn't feel like homemade, it was ehhh. The service was great and the kitchen was immaculate!

Day two of Hickory River at the Fields and they were fantastic. Short line, quick line and food was ready promptly. Staff to grab trays when done eating and tables were being wiped. Can't wait to come again!!

We ordered online and picked up via curbside pick up. Each staff member we interacted with was very friendly and knowledgeable about their job. Our order was correct and the food was delicious. Thank you!
