Hidden Jem Cafe - Reservar uma mesa

What a find. You wouldn 't pick it, I came here on a friends advice. From afar looks like a place that mums hang out at after dropping their kids at school or after a gym session in the park across the road. Inside it has the coolest decor, wood tables, white chairs, succulent plants and the themed 'Gem ' around the place, beautiful candles and would fit right in with any trendy CbD cafes.<br/ <br/ They advertise Toby 's estate from out front so that 's encouraging. Very quiet when we went so service was really quick. I had my drink before my friend could even go and order. I did originally order the vegan nachos but since I'm not vegan I asked for normal cheese but they said they couldn't do it cause they don't melt the cheese. Bit disappointed so ended with the falafel salad. The falafel and sauce was delicious but felt the salad would have been better with spinach leaved or rocket. Rather it felt like a bowl of garnish. I had high hopes but felt a little disappointed. I might go back just for the convenience of the play area across the road for the kids and then try something different. Lovely cafe which is bright and airy. The space is clean and the clientele is local. The menu is simple with great classic dishes. Order at the counter and wait for the food to arrive at your table. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend the Smashed avocado on toasted rye, poached egg, grilled tomato and haloumi $17.

Had the dairy free green smoothie and the pumpkin fritters. The smoothie was very refreshing without being over-sweet and the fritters were well cooked and the perfect size. Location was nice too it was quite busy and overall a good cafe experience
