Highland House Cafe Carry Out

Very disappointed in the Apple Orchard Salad I picked up tonight. It was a last minute decision and I typically LOVE this salad when I get it from Highland House. When I picked it up I asked the cashier if they had anything a little greener. It looked very anemic (putting it mildly). I also asked if they make it with Romaine (like the label says), because it looked like the stalks of iceberg. He assured me it was a good mix of the two and handed me one from the back counter. When I got it home it is literally the lettuce that I throw out when making a salad and ALL iceberg. The red bagged apples were actually more green! I can’t think of a single person who who eat this, let alone serve it!...

Anything Highland House owned is going to be good, but my last visit was memorable. There happened to be two Lexi pick up orders, and the girl at the counter accidentally had us pay for the wrong one. She apologized and immediately got management. The female manager (wish I caught her name because she handled the situation so well) gave us two refund options, which I thought was very kind, and then quickly processed it. Mistakes are bound to happen, but how they dealt with the situation made the inconvenience much less of a hassle.

Breadsticks are good but almost so salty to the point eating them is dehydrating.Had the Greek salad the black olive caused pain to my tooty. They had the very hard Drupes almost nuts like inside them. So check the olives before eating.They were not soft and can damage your teeth causing you pain or a dental appointment.

We had our Moms 97th Birthday catered to the home she stays at in White LakeI spoke to the care givers and the food was great and delivered on time. Thanks AJ for the great service.
