Hillfield Bar Restaurant

We had a dinner bed and breakfast spa break at Pennyhill Park. After reading the reviews about Hillfield we had low expectations but we were pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken (photo and it was delicious and the presentation was impressive. My husband had the steak and enjoyed that. We ordered the Eaton mess and millionaires pudding and the Eaton mess was not great and when our plates were collected the guy serving us asked how the deserts were and we said the millionaires was amazing but we didn’t like the Eaton mess (really strange texture, fluffy sand?! and when we got the bill the Eaton mess had been taken off which was a nice gesture. Very enjoyable dinner. Very tempting menu. I had a wonderful terrine followed by a sharing roast chicken. It came with a couple of very well-made pies and chips and vegetables. They were a real treat. Lively dining room Good service. On the pricy side. Price per person: £80–90 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
