Hip Hop Fish Chicken

First and last time I will go to this establishment. I'm a NC native where soul/fried food is a huge staple. So this food was absolutely gross and could never compare. I should've seen the reviews first, and took heed when a comment mentioned eating moldy bread. The chicken/fish were incredibly odd tasting and odd looking. Spoiled/old even and fried hard to cover it up. There was white stuff sitting atop my thigh. I spit everything out after 5 mins. The Mac n cheese was terribly bland, like out of a container type taste. My pics are exactly how I left it, before I threw it all in the trash. Fish was too salty. 2 small pieces of perch fish. Meal was supposed to include 2 sides....but they charged .99 for the salad only gave me 1 other side. The guy on the register kept telling me the register automatically added .99 for the salad. After I told them I was supposed to get 2 sides with the meal, they said they didn't have the salad anyway, took a 1 off gave me 1 more side. Recommend you check your receipt and order before leaving to ensure you're getting what's advertised and not being charged extra.

Always enjoy Hip Hop. Their chicken is good, not quite a Baltimore chicken box but close. Their catfish is like an edible crack... It's addictive No matter which location, the catfish is tremendous. They always give a great portion of fries which are great hot. The string beans have a lot of flavor and a real kick from the peppers. Ask for them mild if you don't do spicy. Great selection of sides and desserts. One of my favorite delivery or carry out meals.
