On a cold Sunday morning in January a full English was the perfect treat. We walked into this warm cafe were immediately greeted seated after passing a display of delicious looking cakes. The service was very efficient staff friendly. We had the...half size full English which was ample (full size has double of everything). The bacon and sausage can often be disappointing. Horatios was top quality and perfectly cooked. At with a choice of drinks included this was very good value. Will definitely be back to try something else on the long menu of traditional English dishes.

The first thing that catches the eye on entering the place is the stunning array cakes that greets you. You have to stop and take a gander risking your back as you lean down for a perusal. The next thing is the sight of a...full Nelson being lowered down on to your table with a satisfying thud as it settles down, accompanied by the scraping sound of the chair being repositioned as you realise your stomach now needs more room for expansion. The staff are always friendly and polite, especially she who makes the cakes, definitely making the icing on it.

I ordered hot chocolate on a very cold day and thought I would decide what to have to eat while I drank it. As soon as it was brought to me I was asked to pay and I absolutely hate that. I therefore did not...stay for anything to eat. We holiday in Spain a lot and you are never expected to pay upfront and they are far busier over there with holidaymakers than Holt is.

Just taken my partner (on her Birthday) to Horatios for their Christmas Afternoon tea incredible value for money, superb and very plentiful food and service they offer you a box to take home what you can't eat at the time, and you will...definitely need it! Altogether a memorable and very pleasant afternoon!
