Hoss's - Reservar uma mesa

Hoss was never a 5 star dining experience but at least in Williamsport Pennsylvania it has been a good standby with decent food. Our experience last week was terrible. While the hostess and the waitress were both very nice, the dinners took over 55minutes to appear and the salad bar was disgusting. Dirty, rusting lettuce, messy pasta salads.....barely warm soups and sides. Dessert bar was extremely limited not that we wanted any after the lousy dinner. One in our party ordered a Mac cheese bowl as their entree and it was gross. One big cold glob of Mac cheese with 3 over cooked chicken nuggets on top. Iusually try to find something good but honestly all of the above for 3 people and our bill...

Horrendous for the price. I've eaten at a variety of steakhouses, buffets, salad bars, etc. and there is nothing special about this place other than the several decades old decor and food preparation. Many parts of our meal were lukewarm, steaks seem like they're cooked on a flat grill, and buttered mushrooms are canned and taste terrible. That said, the wait staff were pleasant and corrected one thing that we complained about. We weren't overly critical to the staff because we came with an elderly family member who suggested it and seemed to enjoy their meal. Our waitress screwed up our order. She does every time we have her. I ordered just the salad bar. They keep changing the salad bar now they changed the dressing that I use. It tasted nothing at all like creamy Italian! Huge disappointment!! Thiswas our favorite restaurant in town but won't be coming back. Sad,sad day.

2 years later after going I still remember the horrible time I had there. Portions were terrible and food was undercooked. When speaking to other people who still frequent the place at times I hear the situation has not gotten better. The salad bar is theonly positive to this establishment

Dinned late lunch. Family friendly atmosphere, could use a interior upgrade. Visited a few times and always impressed by their wide variety, cleanliness and freshness on the salad bar. The food has been tasty and cooked well although my husband's steakwas a bit chewy.
