Hotel des Alpes - Reservar uma mesa

We have a great fondness for this place as it is the first place we stayed at in the area in 1982! There are different owners now of course and they do a super job of providing freshly prepared food and their own homemade ice creams.They are also open every day of the year! We have visited many times over the years and the service can be a bit erratic at times especially if they are serving the locals at lunchtime. It would also be nice to be recognised and welcomed back sometimes but this has never happened so far. My last meal there was a lambs lettuce salad with chopped egg and bacon. Simple but well presented and with a delicious dressing and fresh bread. For the dessert I chose meringue...

We had a great dinner here. This was the only restaurant that we ate at that gave us an amuse bouche. It was a wonderful cauliflower soup. Our entrees were also delicious. We all had the chicken. The hostess who was also our server was gracious and efficient. This restaurant was a little bit of a drive from The Cambrian where we were staying but it was worth it. They are the ones who recommended it to us and we were glad they did.

I ate there twice, once for tea and their special homemade ice cream which was so delicious with a variety of flavors you would not expect. Then for lunch which was so gracefully presented and beyond flavorful. yes, if compared to home it was a little expensive, but it was well worth it as the food, atmosphere and service were excellent. It is further out of the village but worth the walk or bus ride.

What a great place with a fantastic host couple! Fine wines from saxonia. Authentic regional kitchen decorated modest but timeless stylish. Thank you Ilona and Tom for the classic fondue with high end kirsch, the lamb was tasty and tender the aspargus just the way they have to be and the girl seving us very professional and kind. Very mucb worse a visit. We'll be back soon!

Myself my wife have just returned from a fabulous 5 day skiing break in this lovely hotel. Very personal service comfortable superior double room. Despite the attentions of Storm Ciara we managed 2 days of skiing 2 days sightseeing in Thun Bern. Always a lovely choice on the menu great afternoon cake
