Hotel du Pont - Reservar uma mesa

The HDP, as we like to call it, is utterly UTTERLY french. Living in the village, I've come here several times. Whether it's for a great shot off coffee, a wonderful meal, or a couple of nights away from the kids... it's never a disapointment. The wifi is good and it's been the heart of the village for the last 40 years at least.Monsieur fishes the little fish from the river and serves them up fresh for you. If he's not wiping glasses at the counter (so French), or cutting the hay field (so French), he's in the kitchen creating wonderful, simple, fresh food from scratch (so, soooo French).All around Sarlat, industrially produced dishes are the bane of the restaurant industry, and everywhere...

Took evening dinner on three occasions at Hotel du Pont, Grolejac.Good varied menu. Very reasonably priced - Fixed price 3 course meals priced from €13. All freshly cooked and well presented. Good wine list - also reasonably priced.Great ambience on the outside terrace. Overall the interior of the hotel looked comfortable, attractive & well kept.Did not stay there but would love to give it try.Most certainly recommend the restaurant - good food, pleasant staff, good service, good prices.

Loved the little fish served with crispy batter and piled on the plate which are caught by the owner in the river beside the hotel. A variety of menus and all good sized meals.

Went for evening meal with wife and two young children on a Saturday night. Very nice food/wine and good service. Would recommend and reasonably priced for set menu.

We only had a meal there and the set meal was very nice and very good value, although we were told that the choice had not changed in 15 years
