Hotel Gasthaus Zur Krone

Four of us decided to try Krone for dinner. The restaurant was large but Uncrowded which is not a good sign. The waiter would not help translate any of the local dishes for us. My German is poor and the others do not speak it at all. Luckily the manager came over and helped us, she was great.We all ordered local dishes and the food was good and served in very large portions. I recommend the worst, sliced potatoes, and sauerkraut. The apple strudel was served very hot with vanilla ice cream. After we ate the waiter was very friendly towards us and his English was very good.I might go back but only after I try other restaurants in town.

I was there with some friends at evening. sitting outside in the beergarden is okay if you don't mind the traffic.Service is okay, sometimes it seems the staff is annoyed by the orders. Beer is okay, prices are compared to other venues in the city fair. I had Wurstsalat. The sauce was too sour, it was just vinegar I think. On the bread I discovered mold. That should not happen in a restaurant.

Einfache dt. Speisen zu zugegebenermaßen günstigen Preisen. Allerdings hat mich das Essen hier qualitativ nicht überzeugt, da koche ich lieber selber. Aber, wie gesagt, günstige Preise, da kann man vielleicht auch keine Topqualität erwarten.

Gemütliches Wirtshaus, umfangreiche Karte mit regionalen Spezialitäten. Die Qualität war eher durchschnittlich. Die Spätzle waren sehr schwer, die Bratensoße sehr fettig und wenig gewürzt. Der Service zügig und freundlich.

dann heißt es ab in die Krone...Das eindeutig beste Gericht, welches es zu bestellen gilt, ist das Bier von der Ruppaner Brauerei. Und dann das 'Schimmele'.
