Hotel Gasthof Lowen

While visiting family in Feldkirch, we were brought to the Hotel Gasthof Lowen for one purpose: bowling. In the basement of the building are a couple of older bowling lanes, which you can rent by the hour. As it's not your typical North American-bowling, the...rules were quickly explained to us and we jumped right into our games. It's a great concept, and I'm sure it's very popular with the locals! This hotel and rooms were very nice and clean here. My room had a normal bathroom, but my friend got the glass wall bathroom in his room. Interesting and kind of humorous, but not if you are sharing a room with someone! Unless you want...your roomie to see you showering and sitting on the toilet, they'll have to leave the room. My room was on the first floor above the restaurant area and I heard every single person talking and slamming their room doors all night and morning. It was extremely loud and disrupting. large space, large according to European standards. ensuite even had a full size bath. room was clean and funny. the staff was friendly and helpful. hotel is well located, but is on a rather busy road, so they do not overly disturb some running street noises. from our own. we ate dinner in the restaurant quite standard Austrian meal times that were good. the breakfast was a standard Continental fare that is sufficient to decide. when they book a room, as for one in the facility (the new section,) which seem the beautiful rooms. feldkirch is close to many things to do and go to places.

I was here with my wife for a nice traditional Austrian meal. We were staying next door at the Hotel Garni Noval, so it was very convienent to only have to walk around the corner. There was a family celebrating a birthday, and what seemed...to be a lot o people basically enjoying themselves. We both had traditiional wiener schnitzels which were delicious, well portioned and definitley did not crush the dinner budget. If you are ever in Feldkirch, give the Gasthof Lowen a try for traditional Austrian food.

it was a night on a round trip with friends there. the rooms are arranged, eating is ok, the staff in the restaurant and drinks on the terrace sometimes acts as if they are inexperienced. All right, but would not be our choice for. a longer stay.
