Hotel Gasthof Seefelder Hof

We had a little difficulty locating this hotel in the narrow back streets of Diessen. Parking looked to be a problem, but the manager allowed us to park in a private car park nearby. Check-in was excellent, with a handshake welcome from the owner. The room which we were allocated was meant to exude so-called Bavarian Comfort, but it was badly in need of updating and certainly not worth the price paid. The wooden construction which separated the beds from the rest of the room was a waste of good space.. The bathroom was small, with no room to put soap and toiletries. We stayed here for one night. We ate in the beer garden and food (we had steak) was very good. Our room was comfy with a balcony. The hotel is very close to the town centre and only a couple of minutes walk from the landing point for boats across the lake
