House On The Upper Lake

I went by again today, on a sunny Saturday, August 6, on my motorcycle. Didn't even see a menu box hanging that was there before. Access is closed and there is a Forbidden Access sign. Very unfortunate. Just assume that this is Permanently Closed, like several businesses. The owners were already elderly and I suspect that the Corona period took its toll. I've been here many times (pre-corona time) and every time it was an oasis of peace with rippling water, floating swans and the occasional tour boat. Accompanied by a nice cup of coffee and a large piece of cake, AMAZING They will remain BEAUTIFUL memories forever!!!

The most beautiful café house quiet place in the Eifel... Hopefully we'll be able to hike there again soon... It's such a shame that visitors won't be allowed for so long.... See you soon!!!

30 years ago it was already the best place on the Obersee and it still is today. Everything delicious everything fresh for me always worth a trip.
