Humble Pie 'n' Mash

Unbelievably good food! Best pie I've ever had (chicken, bacon,mushroom) in the best atmosphere. Tiny tiny place that literally turns people away cos they're so popular. Wartime music playing, was era newspapers on the tables, food boxes as decor and a roaring fire- it's just fabulous. Food served in an enamel tin plate and did I mention the best pie ever! Such a delight to stumble across.

menu of about 8 cakes with mash and fertilizer. a few vegetarian options and a vegan option that was tasty had a cherry, tomato and twirl filling and they made the maic of scratches without butter. desserts looked amazing, but unfortunately no vegan options. also no milk-free milk for coffee.

delicious vegan cake, but maic was not vegan as it contained milk and butter. they said they thought that the Bisto-Grotte was vegan, but didn't seem 100% safe, so I just stuck in cake and drowned. the cake was nice, I really enjoyed it.

Delicious food warm, friendly service. Very small inside, first come first served but we got lucky managed to grab a table straight away. Good choice of pies great that it's dog friendly too. We will definitely be visiting again!

Fantastic service by the waitress. loved the decor, wanted to try here for awhile and the Christmas pie was Incredibly yummy. Great pricing structure only pay for what you get.
