Ichiban Japanese Steak House

Plenty of food, friendly service, lots of parking. I visited a meeting earlier this week on Ichiban in Biltmore behind the old Lowe 's website), enjoyed the meeting and thought the food was plentiful when far from gourmet standard. Not sure how the sushi or sashimi is here, as almost everyone seemed in our group to have one of the hibachi dinners. I had the fillet Mignon and chicken Hibachi dinner combo $18.95), which comes with a clear soup okay if you like broth), a small salad iceberg salad and tasteless, tons of fried rice and vegetables mainly onions and broccoli and squash), a few grilled shrimps and large portions of grilled chicken and fillet, which was very tender. Was a bit disappointed eating here. We waited about 30 min to get seated which was fine but then our chef didn’t come for almost an hour. Most of these type restaurants give you a shrimp appetizer, soup , and a salad but not here. Soup or salad and no shrimp appetizer unless you order shrimp extra. Our food was good and our chef very nice otherwise I would of rated them lower, was wishing we had looked for other options.

I love hibachi and eat it a lot. The meat I got here was good but the rice and veggies had no flavor at all. After smothering it in shrimp sauce it still had zero flavor so I put hot sauce on it and it helped. I will not eat here again and the 18%up charge for watching an egg role and onion train was not worth it.

Fantastic!. This place has been reviewed on the basis of reviews on here and it has certainly enjoyed up to them. We had great service and very large portions. I have one of the box memories and it was serious enough to feed two people safely and it was so good. Besides, it's close to the Biltmore!

We had an amazing time for my birthday. This was by far the most delicious hibachi we have ever been to and will definitely be back. Our kids had a good time, even our preteen. We did have to wait a bit for a grill to open even though we got there about five minutes after they opened.Food: 5/5
