The food was ho-hum and lukewarm at best. It seemed like they had the waffles and pancakes pre-made and in warming trays, as well as the scrambled eggs (they weren 't hot enough to melt the cheese! Our dining companion had to send her waffle back to be heated, and of course, the microwave doesn 't to a good job at retaining crispiness! We were surprised that they were operating at full capacity since re-opening after Covid has begun. Especially since Lethbridge is the first main city on the direct route to Alaska . We dined here (Mayor Magrath on August 29, 2020. Hubby had an omelete (this alone was a whopping $17.00 , hash browns bread (supposed to be toast . He enjoyed the omelete (again a whopping $17.00 , the toast was white (not toasted and had no butter (we may have detected a small dab in the center? , and the hash browns were the smallest order we've ever seen. Asked for butter for the toast but ended up sending it back. I had french toast with bacon. The bacon was OK. The french toast was white and seemed raw in the middle. My wife and I went there for brunch We were asked to show proof of vaccine and ID which is absolutely no problem. The restaurant was about half full. The service was a bit slow but the servers were very friendly. When our food did come, I was expecting everything to be cold. The food was actually hot and very good. We will most likely go back again in the future.
I Love this IHop compared to a few Ive tried in Alberta! The staff are friendly, helpful and are quick. The coffee is great, the restaurant is taken care of and the food comes out looking amazing every time. I personally get the Gluten Free Pancakes from IHOP and I have to say, THEY ARE THE BEST!
