My partner and I have eaten at this restaurant twice, and have also ordered take-out twice. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. Friendly service. The lunch boxes are good. Their karaage chicken (deep fried pieces of chicken) are very good. Nigiri sushi...is also good. The only complaint I have, is that there needs to be more sauce in the oyako donburi (a bowl of chicken and egg over rice). I have ordered it twice, and both times there was not enough sauce. I even made it a point to ask for more sauce the second time I ordered it for take-out. I was told that they DID make sure there was enough sauce, but the rice was still dry. We moved to New West almost a year ago from North Burnaby. Realized earlier this year that we always drive back to the old neighbourhood for dinners out. Started going out every Thursday evening to different restaurants in New West to get to know our...local restaurants. This was our first Japanese restaurant. It was really, really clean was my first impression. Service was immediate for drinks and then again very prompt for dinner orders. I found this Restaurant here on Trip Advisor and I was completely surprised. The exterior of the restaurant was a little concerning as it is located in the back of a small strip mall. Upon arrival we were greeted pleasantly and shown to our table....The Nagari was fresh and tasty with just enough wasabi in the middle. Teriyaki chicken tasted as expected. We usually have lunch here as we work in the area and it has always been fresh and good quality. The seafood is always quality and fresh. I enjoy the veggie box however our group enjoys the sashimi. You can sure tell it is japanese...owned. I remember the staff from years ago and still providing excellent service. Spicy Agedashi is well executed here and the miso soup is perfected. It is a good place to try and wont disappoint.

I was there with a local buddy who recommended it based on the criterion of good, fast, affordable and good service. And that's exactly what we got ! The fish was fresh (a little, very little frozen) fresh and the spicy tuna was great. Will...go back. For good, fresh, fast affordable sushi.

Attentive service. Sushi fresh, prices are reasonable. If this was near my home, would be a regular spot. However, went for dinner here only because it was close to the Royal Columbian Hospital. Just minutes walk.

Good food. Plain Jane decor. Super attentive service. Timely serving of food. Freshness was good, taste was good. Prices average.
