Ilios Mediterranean Cuisine

Having moved here from Manhattan and having enjoyed meals in some of the world's culinary hotspots, I can confidently say this place is exceptional. This is one of my first reviews because it truly deserves recognition. The moussaka is wonderfully comforting, cooked to perfection, and melts in your mouth. The halloumi appetizer strikes a delightful balance of salty, peppery, and sweet flavors. The couple who runs this restaurant welcomes you as if you were family. It’s a charming little spot by the ocean that I highly recommend. Food rating: 5/5.

The food was excellent. However, the servers could use some additional training. Even though there were plenty of open tables, our server kept coming back to ask if she could take our plates away while my friend and I were still eating. It was somewhat annoying. It would be great if they could pay more attention to the guests. We felt rushed for no reason; sometimes, people just want to relax and chat without feeling hurried.

The owners of this restaurant are the nicest people and the food is some of the best I have had. My wife and I have been going here about once every two weeks since we moved to seal beach and can not get enough of it. The atmosphere is super chill and relaxing which is unlike most of the places in Seal. I can’t recommend this place more.*tip* get the Greek yogurt cheesecake!

I couldn't rate this restaurant higher. The food was absolutely exquisite, featuring authentic Greek cuisine made with fresh ingredients and rich flavors. The servers were delightful, contributing to a wonderful dining experience. Ilios provides a charming atmosphere in a tranquil setting. The food was delicious, but the service needs improvement. Despite the restaurant having plenty of open tables, our server repeatedly asked if she could clear our plates while my friend and I were still eating. It felt unnecessary and rushed. Sometimes, people just want to enjoy their meal and have a conversation without feeling pressured.

I dined at this restaurant a few weeks ago and had a great experience with both the food and the service. However, when my friend wanted to take her family there tonight, I received a call informing me that the restaurant is closed. I attempted to call the number listed for the restaurant, but it seems to be out of service.

Dining here is an absolute delight. The service is genuinely friendly, and the menu features authentic Mediterranean family recipes. I appreciate the high quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into each dish. Unlike many restaurants today, they aren’t cutting corners.
