Indian Ocean - Reservar uma mesa

It was my first time at this restaurant after seeing a post on my Instagram a few days ago. I have tried many Indian restaurants in Manchester even the most prestigious ones on deans gate and I’ve never been as happy with the service as I have at the Indian Ocean. Young, friendly energetic staff is the making of this place. Special thanks to the young gentleman with the curly hair and the lady with blonde hair. They were ever so welcoming and were always on hand to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I’ve been using Indian Ocean for years now and can’t fault the food. However I have just found that they were given a rating of 1 for food hygiene in June. This sort of makes sense to me by the reaction my stomach always has the following day (and I’ve got a strong stomach). If you look it up this rating gives 3 categories Food Hygiene is poor, facility compliance is fair and confidence in management is “little”. About 3 years ago they stopped accepting card payments for takeaway food and it was never reinstated. All seems a bit dodgy to me so think I’ll give it a miss from now on until these two things are sorted out. The rating would be 5 for food but points dropped for the other things.

Really nice atmoshipre, really nice food would definitely reccomend Came here with my family and my little boy loves a good mess around,they where really good with him and made us feel welcome

Food was fantastic and the service from Abdul was exceptional, be back soon. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Used to be fantastic, but stopped going when standards dropped. Think Chef went to another restaurant
