Ithaki Modern Mediterranean

A disappointing meal and experience. The dining room was spacey, boring, and impersonal. Bread was served with a thick kalamata-tomato dip which we did not like, and we asked for olive oil instead. Stuffed grape leaves were good, but overwhelmed by a thick lemon sauce. My braised lamb shank lacked much spice or flavor, and was braised so long the meat was dry and firm. My partner's lamb chops were requested rare to medium rare, and came medium. Her dish, moreover was served as I ate my appetizer, and was cold by the time my main course was ready. All in all, a restaurant which needs to improve the setting, service, and food.

Our party of 4 was promptly seated with our reservation. We had drinks (Broken Rake, Mimosa and Prosecco with a Greek salad for the table. Zucchini fritters with avocado and pita with three selections of hummus, baba ghanoush and tirokafteri. Lots of food and all was delicious. We got mezze plates spanakopita, shrimp saganaki and falafel. One had a full dinner of seafood medley. Christi’s our server let us take our time and enjoy the evening. We were able to converse also as it was not too loud like many restaurants these days.

This is the third time I've been to this restaurant, and it won't be the last. The food was wonderful. The service was prompt. We had two children in our party and they were very accommodating. Everyone was friendly. The place is beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Wow! All I can say is wow! The food was amazing. Our waitress Adrian was great. What an awesome dining experience.
