Jack Stack Barbecue Freight House

I don 't even know where to start. This is usually our go to BBQ restaurant in KS. Last weekend we brought some extended family with us to enjoy some amazing food and the amazing atmosphere of jack stacks. Unfortunately, for the first time at this establishment our experience was horrendous. We stopped at 11am to speak with the hostess staff about a reservation as our party was large (10 people). The hostess stated that they did not have any reservations and that if we call about an hour before we would like to eat the wait should not be bad. We did just this. We called over and got put on the wait list. When we arrived at our designated time the hostess began to set us outside on the patio....

When I visit KC for work, I always look for burnt ends. The only reason why I did not give this place a 1 star is because of the ordering process. The order was on time. However, This is the third time that I have received Fat ends. The ends that did have meat, was literally dried out. Not to mention the potato was cold. I called myself tipping generously to get a better outcome and still the same results. This place is pumping out mass production with no consistencies. Go to Q39 or Joe's Bbq.

This is my favorite BBQ restaurant anywhere in the US. Never have a bad meal. The one at Freight House is very cool decor, awesome service staff, very attentive. The food rocks, always does, you never go home hungry.

This is an amazing BBQ restaurant! Only place I’ve seen that had BBQ Lamb Ribs, gotta try them. Amazing
