Please keep in mind that when commenting about this CEMETERY, it is a place where SOLDIERS are laid to rest, and their loved ones can see your very thoughtless remarks about bathrooms and playgrounds. I am deeply upset—my little brother sacrificed his life to serve as a doctor in the Navy and fought with the Marines in Iraq and Fallujah. And you choose to complain about playgrounds at his gravesite? It’s disheartening to see how society has changed. It seems some people can't even acknowledge the sacrifices of those who are buried right in front of them. This area boasts some of the finest disc golf courses. There's a great balance between the two courses that are situated right next to each other. The Classic course is much more open, making it ideal for beginners, while the Bunker course is suited for more experienced players. I recommend that newcomers stick to the Classic course until they hone their disc control and gain a better understanding of disc selection and situational awareness. Both courses can easily be played in succession, but it's best to arrive early, as this park tends to get quite busy. So, go early, stay late, and most importantly—practice, practice, practice!
Love to run and workout here. They got several equipment (like pull up bars) on the route i take and i use those to incorporate some bodyweight training into my daily running. Also, there are an abundance of dears, its really crazy, but it is a beautiful park. Typically it gets busy around 5-8pm, so if you want to enjoy it more by yourself, go from like 12-5, during the weekdays, if you can. And if not, then this park is a great place to get fit and enjoy some aspects of nature.
Such a great park! This park is huge and has so much to offer. Great trails, with woods, and prairies all over. Pavilions scattered about for renting for gatherings. Sports fields, playgrounds, disc golf course, archery range. The best part thongs the historic buildings and museums dating back to the Civil War. Numerous entrances for easy access. There are numerous trails and abundant nature to explore. You'll find a variety of activities available, including hiking trails, archery, disc golf, and seasonal events. It's an excellent destination for families to enjoy the outdoors. If you're searching for something to do, be sure to check out the local parks. I had a fantastic day and really enjoyed my time here!
