Jimmy Kelly’s Steakhouse

New owner is doing a pretty good job with this Nashville classic steak house. Steaks, filet and what was described as an American take on waygu beef, were both good and properly cooked. Nice to compare the subtle difference. Lots of toppings for meat- tried peppercorn. Very punchy. Could dominate meat if overused. Wedge salad was cold, crisp and fresh. Potato arrived room temperature. 2nd one arrived hot. Nice house Sauvignon blanc (yes, I drink white with red meat). Corn cake recipe has changed from a crispy edged cake (sinfully fatty, especially when buttered) to more of a sweet pancake style. I asked for a refill, but it never arrived. We were surprised by the price increases and what little the prices included. We paid $30 more per person this year versus last year. The waiter seemed preoccupied with other tables due to complaints at one other table. This was our 46th Anniversary and only the Hostess acknowledged the event. Previous years we were acknowledged and given a desert to commemorate the event. We have made this an annual event for ten years now and we will reconsider if the prices continue to increase.

First time in Nashville with buddies to play golf. For our last night we always pick a nice steakhouse. Jimmy Kelly's did not disappoint. From the warm welcome to the great service from Steve to the perfectly prepared steaks, Jimmy Kelley's is a great pick if you want a high end cut of beef, great cocktails and ambience.

The steak was absolutely amazing. Scott was our waiter and did an outstanding job. He was very informative and not pushy. We had an early dinner and the restaurant was so quiet and peaceful. The cheesecake was delicious

My husband and I had a good meal at Jimmy Kelly's, but could have been better. Food was a little bland and needed more flavor. Our favorite items we got were the mashed potatoes and Reese's cheesecake.
