Small and slightly strange location near or practically IN a gas station, don't let its humble appearance fool you. These are the same great sandwiches you have been getting at J's for years.If you haven't gotten a sandwich from J's, you really ought to give them a try just be sure to bring your appetite because the sandwiches are HUGE and packed. If you go with someone, and are able to agree on one of the dozens of options they have available, you could probably split one to make 2 reasonably portioned meals.For me, I was not here for reasonability. I have eaten js deli almost my whole life in cumberland. now unfortunately only the location smithfield remains. all their sandwiches are great. I'll give four stars because I picked up my sandwich last week. the prices rose to $14.03 after controlling for a sandwich. They're big, but I can eat the whole thing. because of the price I had the half to the lunch other half to dinner. besides being expensive, it is a large local deli, which was always a northern rhode Island dog. Many thanks for the years of the great sandwiches js, please stop them the price!

this is not an ordinary sandwich shop. the portions are more than generous and the quality is superior. they can never go wrong with the steak and cheese or their spin on a rueben
