Friendly, personal service from a long-term waiter. Beautiful, comfortable atmosphere with interiors of culture. The food came out quickly while there was no waiting for napkins cutlery. Water was quickly served. Authentic, hot delicious Enchiladas! There was really a considerable amount of fish in her fish taco. Red green salsas were wonderful, not too sharp. Very recommended! Extensive menu.

I live in San Pablo and go to Berkeley for their Verde sauce and their chile relleno . It's got that Juarez Mexico type taste . And they make a great mole gravy too similar to how they do in El Paso and New Albuquerque . They have great customer service and all the 12 yrs I've gone my order and the experience has been on point if not superb . I give this place a 10 star

Great food. I've never really been inside to today and oh my gosh it's very obvious that this place is an institution! History and all images on the wall, places like these are very important to get. Definitely spend your money here and enjoy the wonderful food and history. I feel nostalgic for my childhood. Also, get the flour tortilla chips if you can!

Classic, old-school Americanized dine-in Mexican food. A super burrito baked on the plate and served to you scalding hot, the size of at least 2 burritos, consisting of mostly refried beans, but that's exactly what you expect and want! Awesome house-made chips, and two salsas that are runny in the best way.

Had a nice paternal meal here. The plates were very full and they offered salsas and chip on arrival. Prices for two people were slightly higher than other places. But they were friendly, fast and delicious.
