This Café Tola is cozy, with a charming shaded patio on the side and another seating area in the front. Upon my arrival, there was a quick-moving line of people waiting. I ordered a latte and a cheese and guava empanada, both of which were delicious. I was disappointed to see a delivery truck bringing in frozen dough for the empanadas, as I had assumed they were made from scratch. Additionally, when I inquired about the bathroom to the cashier, I was informed it was not available, only to see a restaurant worker coming out of it moments later. I highly recommend the empanadas at this restaurant! They are authentic and delicious. The outdoor seating area is lovely and the guava and cheese empanada was especially tasty. Overall, a great dining experience.

Best empanada place in Chicago. Family owned/operated for a while and every time I’m in the area I stop by for empanadas and an Iced Dulce de Leche. Would highly recommend Chorizo y Huevo, Lechón, and Ropa Vieja

I absolutely adored this place! The individual working there (whom I believe was the owner) was incredibly kind and patient as I ordered my unique custom drink. The empanadas were fantastic as well! <3 Reserve uma mesa agora

super cute! it's like a mini walkable drive thru, the empanadas were so yummy and the horchata latte was too! there is v limited seating and standing area but good to pick up and go.
