Kanitar Thai Restaurant

The meal was okay. If you're looking for amazing Thai food, this restaurant may not be the best choice. The decor and service are nice, but the food is decent, not exceptional. The Tom Yum soup was flavorful, but too salty, which overpowered the intended sharp and clean flavors. On the other hand, the chicken curry was overly sweet, with the sweetness overpowering the other flavors. It seemed like there was too much sugar or palm sugar, as well as diced carrots adding even more sweetness. Overall, this restaurant is a decent option if you can't find any other Thai restaurants, but it might be better to explore other choices if you have the option. Thank you.

We have ordered from this restaurant multiple times and have had a good experience, except for one disappointing salad we once received. It consisted mainly of limp iceberg lettuce with a few rubbery calamari/squid pieces in a watery, flavorless dressing. For the price of around $15, it was not worth it. We recommend skipping the salads and trying the red curry chicken with coconut rice instead. The special fried rice is also delicious, with large vegetable pieces and whole prawns that make it a substantial meal on its own, rather than just a side dish for curry.

Our meal was delicious. Full of clean, crisp, thai flavours, without being heavy or overpowering (Massaman curry, green curry, pad thai, pineapple rice - all delicious). The service wasn't the best, with some other tables waiting for almost an hour for their main meals, but ours personally wasn't too bad. Would definitely go back, and will be using as my go-to Thai takeaway in Geelong as well now.

The food is delicious and well priced. Seating is very comfortable & not noisy. Would definitely recommend
