Karthause Ittingen

Wir nahmen einen Lunch im Restaurant zur Mühle in der Kartause Ittingen. Die ganze Anlage mit Hotel, Tagungszentrum und Museum ist wunderschön. Das Restaurant liegt in Mitten der verschiedenen Häuser.Gut gefallen hat uns die Mischung zwischen Modern und Alt. Das Essen, garnierter Wurstsalat, war sehr frisch und schön angerichtet. Dazu haben wir Klosterbier getrunken. Das ist eine Spezialität der Kartause.Der Service war freundlich und speditiv.

The restaurant is located in the old monastery Karthause Ittingen. The mill wheel is a central part of the restaurant and still turns. This restaurant has local products and innovative notes on the menu, how far the products have traveled until it is on your plate. The food was very good and the portions were medium. They also offer local wines and beers. The service was excellent. Certainly a good choice for a meal when you are in the area.

We visited the Karthause Ittingen and decided to stop at the restaurant for coffee. We chose a table outside and were served by a friendly waiter. The coffee we ordered was delicious. We had no time to stop for lunch, but the food we saw well prepared and very tasty.

We loved this restaurant very much and now it is a great disappointment. The food was below average. Very sad, because the situation is excellent.
