Kartoffelhaus - Reservar uma mesa

We tried this nice restaurant near Rollplatz after a full morning of walking in Weimar. The place is nice and furniture is classic German. These people really mean it when they say they're the Kartoffel (potato's) House! Tens of dishes made with different cooking techniques, and nearly all prepared with potatoes. I would not have believed it if I hadn't tried it, but they taste delicious and very differently from one another!We had served sort of some large fried potato balls with a gorgeous goulash, and an exquisite oven-cooked dish made of potatoes, spinach and gorgonzola cheese. The food was really good but too big to eat all. Place was nice and really tipic. Next time we will take a deash for two and should be perdect

Somewhat limited menu but quite good food. Nothing extraordinary though. Fair price. Service o.k. but not great.

Delicious German traditional dishes! Huge portions! The only regret: we should have shared one entree.
