"Came here because of the series “the bear” and also a friend’s recommendation. It feels like real authentic Filipino food where you would eat on the side of the streets, but in a nice enclosed environment in Chicago! The bakery is amazing."

Worth the wait! The breakfast sandwich had a perfectly cooked egg, a sweet and savory sausage and a crispy hash brown that all complimented each other. The lumpia was so crispy and delicious. Now on to the pastries, the boston crème brioche was perfection with a super sweet custard and the caramelized sugar gave it a crispy texture contrast. The oatmeal crème pie had an amazing filling that reminded me of a peanut butter and jelly. The ube and huckleberry basque cake was so tasty and the banana bread was like a muffin top. Lastly, was the chocolate croissant which was the only thing I didn’t care for.Overall, Kasama is amazing and definitely lives up to the star.

WOW is all I can say, the food here just blows my mind. I am absolutely in LOVE with Filipino cuisine. The pastries were delicious, the taro tart in particular. The breakfast sandwich with longanisa is a MUST. Not only is the longanisa mind-blowingly flavor-packed, the egg, cheese, and bun are also very well executed. We were there Thursday morning around 11am and had to wait about 20-30 minutes. We DID go back Saturday with hopes of trying more, but were met with a line WAY Longer (would likely have been a 2 hour wait). This place is SUPER popular so be mindful of that and consider a weekday and getting there closer to opening (or order online).

We arrived early in the morning, but line was crazy long, so we decided to order online. Even with a wait online it took about two hours. However, definitely worth giving it a try! The most memorable item that we ordered was the truffle croissant, it has a nice sweet and savory combination with a strong presence of the truffle flavor. The ube and coconut ensaymada is more like a cream puff than a bread, but delicious nonetheless Everything else was pretty good as well, but not worth waiting for two hours in my opinion.

There was a line out the door, and while it was maybe a ten to fifteen minute wait, it didn't feel too long. The service was great! And the food? Amazing! I tried my husband's sandwich and regretted not ordering one for myself. No worries, I had the crispiest hash brown ever and a soft and creamy cheesecake tart. Super YUM!!
