Kedleston Fish Derby

If you're craving fish and chips, Kedleston Fish Bar might catch your eye. However, my recent visit left me with mixed feelings. While the fish was decent, the chips were a letdown. They were disappointingly hard, old, and tasted stale. Consistency seems to be an issue here, both in the quality of the food and possibly in their preparation process. Despite the promising name, my experience fell short of expectations. If they can reel in some fresher ingredients and improve their cooking process, Kedleston Fish Bar could become a go-to spot for seafood lovers. Until then, it might be wise to cast your net elsewhere.

Been going to this place for some time, mostly had good experience however tonight was my last and I left without nothing. They attempted to charge me more than what was written on the menu and when I said they should be charging what is advertised, the guy who runs it had the cheek to say “no I shouldn’t actually, I can charge whatever I want doesn’t matter what it says up there.” Why have it written up there then if you’re going to lie and charge more than advertised? Absolutely awful attitude and they have lost a pretty regular customer here.

Nearly had a dental bill after these rocks, sorry chips, large fish looked like a goujon, sausage wasn 't fit for my dog, owner wasn 't around so called to speak to him the next day and make him aware as the food has gradually got worse over the last 6 months, he was rude and defensive saying the chips were due to 'dry season ' and any chippy is the same at this time of year.....WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN

My hubby thought he would treat us to fish,chips and curry sauce ,it was awful he ordered cod ,but sure it was haddock and the chips were not chippy chips they looked like you got them out of a bin which you had thrown away the night before ,limp ,hard and flavourless, never again!!

Chips are like rocks. Obviously not fresh didn’t receive 2 items of the order delivery driver was unreal couldn’t find door number even though it was a business name
