Kelseys Original Roadhouse Bowmanville

Well I just spent $25.40 on fries and gravy! I ordered a half rack of ribs with a side of fries and gravy. When they arrived I was shocked that they called this little serving a half-rack. It was 4 ribs, and it was the 4 from the skinny end. Oh well, drop a star for serving size.... so now the taste test... OMG, they were so dry that the Crocodile Dundee knife I was given barely made it through them. One bite was all it took for me to confirm that these were the most dry ribs I've ever had. They were not edible, so ya, concentrated on my fries and gravy. I am not one to raise a fuss, but the waitress clearly saw that I hadn't eaten a single rib. The best part of Kelseys are their wings 100%. I always get the wings in Bowmanville but what I've noticed lately is there is no consistency, one time they will be dry and have little to no sauce and other times they will be drenched and wet. Even when I ask for my wings SAUCEY I still end up with the same thing happening. Aside from that the staff is very nice and comes back often to make sure everything tastes okay.

The food here is great but I do often have some wait times with the bartenders. I confess, I use this place mostly for takeout. I call in my order and then drive over to pick it up. While I wait, I am never asked if I want a drink or anything- I am hoping things improve because the food is pretty good.

Ouch, they messed up almost everything. Undercooked chicken, terrible wait time, bad service. It was a dreadful 2 hour and 15 minutes of my life, no exaggeration. I work at a restaurant and am very displeased with what happened tonight at Kelsey's. -Brady

Not sure why it has such low ratings. Came in for a light dinner and a couple drinks and I thought the place was very good. The ladies at the bar were attentive, the food was very good, and left satisfied with my experience.
