Kennedy Meadows Resort Packstation

I booked a last-minute full-day ride with the Kennedy Meadows Pack Station, and the resort was fantastic with accommodating me. I called the morning of, and they were able to fit me in with one of their packers, Emma.She was a fantastic guide, and we were able to head out from the resort around 9:30am. We went up to the reservoir, checked out one of the meadows, and to finish out the trip, we even got to see a waterfall! Throughout the trip, she was able to tell me about the pack station and even about the local flora and fauna. The area is nice. But the rooms are very expensive there! And then they charge you a tax on top of it and if you use your credit card they charge you another 4%. So I don't think it's very fair at all. But I still go up there with my family. If you get a cab and make sure you share the cost with other people or you'll pay through the nose! They used to be a lot more friendly there but no I think they're just not happy with their job.

I love visiting Kennedy Meadows. Rode horses there during my childhood. Camped along the river and fished. Love the restaurant, too.

Had a great time. No cell service, which is good. Unfortunately, water was a little high for great fishing but it is improving.

We hiked out to Relief Reservoir then enjoyed a late lunch at the restaurant. Great family day hike outing!
