KereKere South - Reservar uma mesa

I've been forgetting to write a review for KereKere for weeks, but their "Free Cake Day" today finally prompted me to pay homage to this gem of a cafe. Attached to the Southbank Library and Boyd Community center means free WiFi and books galore for enjoying with beautiful coffee made by beautiful people. Every employee is so lovely and personable, and with a percentage of monthly sales going back to different causes in the the community, it's not just the caffeine that makes me feel good about coming here weekly.

I really like this place. It's tucked away and not too obnoxious. The service, food and atmosphere are all quite good. Coffee is amazing. My only qualm is probably that the toasties are very expensive for what they are. But maybe that's just reflective of Melbourne.

Small but great coffee. Service pretty good overall. Interesting ambience - looks like an old school science lab. Bit hard to find unless you walk past the actual door, which is no where near a street side footpath so just Google it 1st.

Very good hot chocolate. Nice smooth strong coffee. A great find around the corner from my apartment. Why have I not found this place earlier??

Great coffee, yummy avo on toast, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Great place for a morning coffee and quick breakfast.
