I meant to write this review back in the summer when myself and my family were in town for our cousins wedding. I don't know if the staff Jack and Vanessa will remember this, but we were the family who were just starting a coffee shop/and one day espresso out of our church.. and we're asking those already in the business about equipment and what makes a quality cup of coffee. Jack and Vanessa were quite knowledgable more than happy to talk shop with us. The coffee was exceptional balanced with the right acidity and strong. so was the food and atmosphere. Child Grinds is an espresso bar in Winthrop, WA. They brew Blue Star coffee; the finest locally roasted coffee in the state of WA. Another kind of soup is made daily with organic ingredients. A variety of baked goods, including some that are gluten-free, are available along with a breakfast sandwich. The atmosphere is city meets this small western city. Great mood. Friendly. It is on the right side when you go out of town in West 20. They open at 7:00 and close at 4:00. This place has quickly become a favorite and this afternoon reminded me why... excellent customer service fresh, healthy food. I starved everything that was sold, but the employee offered me to make a sandwich fresh. This mom was so hungry and so appreciated the quality service.
