King Southern Delight

I’ve had more experiences with the food being more good than not good. But…….I feel like it could be a little hit or miss with some of the dishes (cabbage, chicken, and greens). The cabbage last night was really really bad and tasted burnt. We had to throw it away. The chicken was extremely dry and wasn’t that good. The turkey legs were excellent and for some reason never disappoints. Definitely try them out! A little heavy on the salt in some dishes.Other than that the food is fast and definitely tasty. Good portions are served for the most part. I would return back.

The food is very basic. It is not an authentic soul food restaurant. The food display looks ok, not great. The food is not great quality. The seasoning of the food is off. The yams were too soupy and sweet. The dressing and gravy had a weird taste to it. I think that this place need to retrain their cooks. I gave it 2 stars because they tried. But it is not delicious at all. I won’t be back. A waste of money. Also, the server I had didn’t make me feel like I was welcome.

This business has great food. For the convenience of customers the website should be updated with the current hours reflecting. People should not drive to your establishment and it’s either closed or closed early. If the business closes at 6pm….why are you closing at 5 o’clock or 5:30pm?? The website says your are open on Saturdays but when you get there, it’s closed. That is not good. Close your business at the time that your hours are posted. Thanks.

I order the grit bowl with egg cheese and sausage. It is filling and good. The diner looks good my husband has the turkey wing diner he said the turkey wings are tender. One thing you have to add your own seasoning to some items. The salmon is well seasoned. The staff is very nice.
