Kreis' Restaurant

Decided to try this place for the first time since it recently showed up on Ian Froeb 's top 100 list in St. Louis. I got the impression the restaurant was trying to 'punch above its weight class ', with mixed results. The meal my wife and I had was good but service was a bit spotty and incongruous with the menu prices. I 'm pretty sure my review won 't matter to the people who are regulars at this spot, as it seems to be a crowd favorite. For me, if I want a steak in the future, there are probably better options.

Leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to the food, creativity, and total lack of seasoning across the board, especially given the price, dress code, and reputation. That being said, the service is impeccable. Go here if your goal is to be waited on hand and foot and you have an easily impressed palate. If you want something truly delicious, this might be your place for some items, but not that which my party ordered. Service: Dine in

Delicious and classic! Service was top notch and the food was amazing! If you're in St. Louis, check it out! Sunday special $55 for salad, queen cut prime rib, side and dessert

The food was good and the hospitality was great. Caution, no splitting the check on large parties.
