Krone - Reservar uma mesa

We stayed with our 2 kids (6 and 10) at the hotel for two nights and we had diner at the hotel 's restaurent one of the evenings. This is one of best places in the Engadine Valley and outstanding value for money; we have tried quite a few places in the area, and the quality does not get anywhere close. In Switzerland, you tend to fall into outrageously glitzy luxury and overdone hotels, or poor quality/old/uncomfortable ones. The Krone gets it 'just right '. The hotel is basically a beautiful and authentic Grischun manor that has been freshly refurbished. The rooms have Arvine floors, extremely clean and comfortable, you will feel at home in minutes. This is a great alternative to the more famous restaurant across the street, and the river, in La Punt-Chamuesh. It is very professionally run by husband and wife and it has also a dozen or more rooms for guest. The restaurant has 3-4 rooms very tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable. The menu is not extensive: has some pastas with local ingredients, some engadin offering like capunz, outstanding beef and lamb, some fish from the sea and the lake and exquisite desserts. The wine list is not extensive but excellent and there are many choices of wine by the glass and various size carafe. We regularly visit restaurant Krone for family and extended family dinners and always really enjoy the delicious and authentic Engadin-dishes, the very attentive but discrete service, the great wine selection and this time the rich choice of local beers. We are already looking forward to our next visit in Gasthaus Krone.

Also, the dinners I enjoyed in the restaurant were superb – choice and quality of food, and presentation are outstanding! Just keep in mind to reserve a table as the restaurant is well known for its excellent meals and hence often all tables are booked. Highly recommended!

we had lunch in this Restaurant with another couple last Sunday, the place was full the Service very personal and professional and the food exellent ! They have a Menu for 27 Fr. with a salad and Pasta with Rucola and srimps !
