Kronenstube-Terrasse

A house with style and tradition. On a tour through the Rhine we returned to the Hotel Krone at the time of coffee in Aßmannshausen. They sit here beautifully under a pergola that is overgrown with vines and can be pampered with excellent confectionery specialties and a good coffee. The Rhine in front of the hotel, simply wonderful, if only not the traffic on the busy road in front of the hotel would make the idyll a little cloudy. .

Excellent service & delicious food! I enjoyed pfefferlinges soup and fresh trout. I don't speak German, and my waiter was not entirely comfortable with English. But through charades and laughs and kindness, it was the best dinner service I have experienced during my year in Germany. I felt very welcome and well-cared for. I will return!

We came here as a party of 30 with advance reservations for late lunch. Service was on the slow side, but food was great, desserts were delicious and a good time was had by all. Just wish they might have added a waiter or two for our large group. This is the oldest restaurant in Germany...we’ll be back.

No service, bad food. We were a group of 11 people seated on the terrasse. Service was missing. The food smelled bad. Ten of eleven people didn`t risk eating it.
