.and, well the little it takes to find the place madam and I had heard and read good things about the muhlsteinstube, and so a prebook for the midday on a sunny and cool Sunday. after a short drive. from gumpoldskirchen we left the A route in leobersdorf and followed our Gps directions. the wrong location, however, showed that the right position was only half a kilometre or so on the road; cross a narrow bridge from leobersdorf to dornau and there they are. the restaurant is located in a massive old farm building, a truly worthy two story stone structure with a large tor and courtyard, which also houses a series of artist studios. go to the hof a few steps, see them to the left, and they hav...

A bit outside the trodden paths, situated in the Dornau hamlet of Leobersdorf and even most GPS systems can 't properly locate the address... The Kunstmühle restaurant is set in old farm buildings right next to its erstwhile chateau domain (known as Gut Dornau and gets...its fish fresh from there. And the chef knows fish... and prepares it a no frills no nonsense kind of way, do not expect fancy tidbits artfully arranged on designer plates here. Our favourites are the local lake Saibling or else salmon trout. Excellent rainbow trout is almost always on the menu too of course. Secret tip for fish lovers: on Friday mornings, entry to the fishmonger situated in the buildings of the Gut is open...

congenial service in a very charming rustic atmosphere in a large space of an old flour mill, with fresh fish, fish, fish on the menu, grilled to perfection. we had three people who shared a starter, had a main course with one side, each, followed. by coffee and dessert for three, with a glass wein for each of us, for a total of 100 euro, drinking money. great meal. great. a lazy Sunday dinner. reservations are a must at the weekend, we found,

Situated in an old mill just outside Leobersdorf, this restaurant offers an excellent selection of fish dishes, lovingly prepared and served with a smile. It's freshwater fish, carp, catfish and pike, and you sit there in what used to be the old bakery. Would definitely recommend it!
