Kupferkessel Restaurant

The small restaurant has a somewhat confused styling mostly Franconian restaurant, but with a Buddha statue and some other touches which hint that this place doesn't serve the usual fare. The food is clearly intended to be eaten as part of a multi course menu portions are small otherwise. The multi course menu had its ups and downs. The entree was boring, the soup simple but excellent (approaching a Platonic ideal of that particular dish), the sauce on the main course delicious, but the mashed potatoes sub par, dessert interesting, but nothing more. Overall I had fun eating here something which I don't often do.

I had lunch here with a friend and have not enough superlatives for this cosy restaurant. The ambience is wonderful with 4or 5 tables small but still roomy. The lady of the house made us very welcome and her husband who is also the Chef came to greet us too. I had the beef tongue with aubergine and stone mushrooms,my friends had a chicken dish. 2mains and a child plus 2 deserts and 4 beers came to just under €60. All I can say this is the finest restaurant (in my opinion) that is in this part of Franken. Without doubt I will return

Das Lokal ist ein recht kleines. Es ist ein etwas höher angelegtes Lokal im Segment Preis jedoch spiegelt sich das auch in den Speisen wieder. Diese sind sehr gut und raffiniert. Hauptspeise wie Dessert! Alles zu empfehlen! Service ist freundlich. Gratis WLAN ist verfügbar.

I was passing through Bavaria and decided to make a stop at Kupferkessel. The food and the service was great. I had the duck special and it tasted so good. The beer was good too

5 star all the way!! If you are in the area or just traveling through on the autobahn this is SO worth the short trip. Amazing food!
