Kurkonditorei Oberlaa

A young waiter told me that after having lunch our table was too dirty. I explained that our child played with the toothpicks and she left about ten of them on the table, that was all "the mess". But he asked me if we were Italian, suggesting that we missbehaved because of our nationality (we are not Italian but this is not the point). I had never received such a xenophobic behaviour and just advise that families are not wellcome here. The child and her parents are Austrian, this is the funny issue.

This "Konditorei" is a classic by now - they have two locations actually in Vienna. In any case - Vienna is famous for its pastry and this place is one of the top addresses to enjoy these delicious sweets. On weekends we see often elderly people enjoying a nice walk in the garden of Oberlaa and having a tea or coffee in this coffee shop (or better Konditorei). They make all the things themselves in the kitchen - yummie !

We decided to pop in and have coffee and strudel.I am so glad we did , the nice lady blonde - who served us was excellent.She asked if we wanted to know anything and we did and she recommended the strudel with custard and it was amazingWe loved every thing we are and drank.Do yourself a favour and go there

Very nice cake,light bite cafe. Excellent service great fresh beautiful cakes and savouries. It's a real taste of Vienna. The fresh pressed Orange Juice is excellent. Please try one of the mousse like cakes in a glass,wow.

All you want really. Lovely lunch, great desserts. The staff are great and the menu simple! We suggest you head there after a swim :)
