La Bocca Restaurant

La Bocca is great for outside dining and people watching! It’s on a busy corner location so you are never bored watching people as you enjoy your meal. All the flowers around the outside make it feel so charming. It took a long time just to try to get a table because the hostess was off doing other things and not paying much attention to arriving guests. Our waitress was very friendly, we really liked her, but overall the service was really slow and we finally had to ask for our check after a long time of waiting, but thankfully we always had things to watch out on the street. So stopped here for dinner on our second night in Whistler after booking on-line. Nice greeting and sat quite promptly having been offered outside or inside, we chose the latter. Now this is where things got interesting. We sat for quite some time until our server suddenly appeared. My wife ordered a 9oz Morgan Cab Sauv aat a pricey $18. I had a coke $4. We ordered our food at the same time as our drinks, my wife had the Bison Steak, $42 and I had a Margarita pizza, $23. It felt like we had only ordered 5 minutes ago when the food suddenly appeared. Came for dinner on our last night of holiday. The food was really nice and the place had a nice vibe but the bar service was really slow. We waited 20 minutes for a glass of coke and a wine, but because the bar is open we could see they weren't busy at all, they were just standing around joking with each other rather than serving. It's a shame as the actual waitress we had was lovely and very friendly, it was just let down by quite a wait at the start of the meal

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here. A cosy relaxed restaurant with lovely, friendly staff and a menu featuring a delightful array of Italian dishes. The meals were a good size and absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend a visit

Great service and lovely food. Pasta dishes are particularly good. Good location in the centre of Whistler
