La Bolee - Reservar uma mesa

I stumbled over this restaurant while parsing menus for price alone. I actually went off hunting elsewhere for a while but I am so glad I came back. The service was quick and friendly, the amuse bouche fitted my entree. My french is rubbish but explaining things was no trouble for my waitress who could dip into English as needed. I can still taste the beef, no it's not stuck in my teeth. Beautifully rich, en point, still hard to believe it crowned a menu/formule of €30. In contrast the flavour of the white mousse in my desert (one of three flavours) was like a whisper, so delicate, just oil of cacao and cream, gone when I swallowed. First time there since the owners changed and, I had a great dinner! The woman who takes care of the service is super friendly and I loved the « guess what this is? » little appetizer the serve before you start! It’s a nice change, the cuisine is way different than the usual tartiflette and lasagnas local restaurants offer. I thought it was a breath of fresh air and, considering the place was packed all week, I’d say I am not the only one ; Menu is 30€ and you can also order à la carte.

Absolutely delicious from the starter to the desert, great proportions and amazing flavors. The plates are lovely to look at and then lovely to eat. The subtle flavors in the chocolat dessert were amazing. Can't wait to go back. The waitress was lovely and efficient even though they were very busy and she was on her own.

The chef brings out the best in local, seasonal ingredients, both meats and vegetables. His wife serves the guest charmingly and efficiently. Great value for reasonable prices. We had one of the best lamb dishes we ever tasted! The menu changes monthly.

Visited with family on a Saturday evening they were very busy with a lovely atmosphere. I had the Lamb dish which was excellent and for dessert I had the apple tart both very well presented, not too badly priced worth a visit.
