The best wine bar in Lyon with the best owner/sommelier Christophe. The place is small with a few tables both inside and outside, so make sure you reserve ahead of time. From start to finish, Christophe had shown us the best hospitality. We let him bring us the wine that he thinks we will like, which he did an incredible job on (we had 5 different wines). He also served couple small dishes to go with the wines, which he made himself. We ordered a charcuterie and cheese plate, a slice of tartine with lardon, and chocolate brownies for dessert, and they are all delicious. We had a fun and memorable evening. The host was just wonderful very friendly and gave us some sightseeing tips. He paid attention to the kind of wines we liked and paired for us to our meals. We had Bouef Tartare and the Tarte Lyonaisse. Both were excellent. Tarte came with an enormous green salad and the Tartare with a bowl of noodles with a delicious mustard crème sauce. We had plenty of food with these two plates. Highly recommend La Bouteillerie!

I reserved a table for six people in order to have a good evening for friends coming from Nancy, and it was a success! Christophe introduced us to wines blindly, but also pushed us to think about what we were tasting. Christophe is ultra competent and that's a pleasure, especially since he had to deal with some really bad guys... We will come back without hesitation!! Bonus point for the super Burgundy at the end!

Christophe was very knowledgeable about local wines and dishes. He was very friendly and we had a few laughes together. The food was delicious and the wines he recommended were all very special and enjoyable.
