When wandering around Giverny in the off-season, there are not a lot of food options that are open so we just chose to stop here out of convenience. We had a simple meal of our mains with no starters or dessert as this was lunch and time had to be considered. The food we got was good. Nothing along the lines of many of our meals in Paris but certainly worth the price paid and filling as well. The roasted camembert was an interesting option. It is more like a large charcuterie plate but nicely has several options to pair each bite. It is well known than the less competition the poorer quality. That's the axiom of touristic places, and we sadly accept it. Yet, I always hope for exceptions. Exceptions exist, but not in this case. What to expect: Nice environment, a nice garden hidden by a maze BUT Pretentious dishes, actually middle quality Expensive prices A lot, really a lot, of flies (no one's faults, but just to warn) Hurried and unprecise service (cutlery literally thrown on the table) Long story short: usual tourist trap

Terrible. Just terrible. Slow service, extremely mediocre food, high prices. Honestly not much more to say: the food was cold, the portions meagre, the meat was like rubber. The waiter kept making mistakes in our order, repeatedly, and failed to clear the table at each stage of the meal. DON’T GO. Tourist trap, and is by no means « convenient ».

Sorry to say, don’t waist your money. Convenient as it was one of the only place open, and located in a beautiful area, this said, the service was terrible, chaotic and disorganized. Felt bad for the waiters as it seems there are no process. I’m hoping management will step up and organize the process as it is a beautiful place.

Nice French cafe with nice pastries and drinks. Friendly staff at a very close location to the Monet house. Good choice for a collation.
