La Cabourne - Reservar uma mesa

We went as a family for a drink prior to eating elsewhere due to the location and it being a nice evening. We were lucky in that although we were accepted for a drink the next two groups who arrived a mater of minutes after us were refused entry despite only about 10% of the outdoor seating being used. Our waitress went to take our order but when we asked for drinks menus she pointed at the board and said they don’t have menu’s. Second time round she took our order which were a round of drinks and some table water, all good at this point. Our drinks arrived but without the water which was fine , we then asked 5 minutes later for our water , again fine, everyone makes mistakes. When the water...

The restaurant was very busy for a Monday in September but the ambience was good. We ordered an omelette each and were amazed at the plates put before us. Ham and cheese for me and Mushroom for my wife both said how delicious they were but the hot vegetable mix accompanying there was also a side salad) was outstanding. It was a shredded vegetable dish in a delicious sauce and when I paid the bill I complimented them on the vegetables, where can I find the recipe! There was only one young man waiting at table so you did have to wait first to order and then for your meal, however next time in Brantome it will be the only place I'll eat in .

Frightening and shocking. We ordered Confit de canard with fries and for the children nuggets with fries. All french fries and the nuggets were full of black dirt particles. For me it was clear that they were reheated on a dirty grill. the french fries were partly cold and soft. The glasses were dirty (lipstick fingerprints). At the bar ice cubes were filled by the waiters with the fingers into the glasses. We had to pay 70 Euro for the whole thing. when we complained we were told sorry for you . but what do you expect from people who serve such a **** . Do yourself a favor and go to another restaurant.

We went on a Saturday afternoon and got right in. We got a table right along the river and had fast and friendly service. I ordered the ravioli and my husband ordered a salad with chèvre we also ordered ice cream for dessert. I would have given all the stars but I thought the price was a little high. Otherwise, really had a nice lunch there. Pic is a view of the table we sat at from when we saw it from across the river.

We stopped by for lunch on a wet Sunday and the service and the food was excellent we all had the Duck which was so tasty The house wine was really good and the desserts were great
