La Caixeta Bistro - Reservar uma mesa

We found Caixeta as we wandered through town and are very happy that we did. We were drawn in by its location on the pretty little square and by the cute decor. The food made us happy we stayed. About five minutes after we arrived, the place was filled with French people and the server was also French. Not sure if everyone lives in town or just crosses the border for dinner. The food was very good. They have a nice variety of dishes and everything we shared was fantastic. If I lived in Puigcerda, I think I would make this a regular spot.

Back to La Caixeta after some months it keeps really on the must-go in Puigcerda. This time we tasted different tapas and every single one was extremely good. The house ecologic red wine -Penedes- was also very good and they offer it on a pay-as-you-drink basis. Lovely. Very friendly staff. The Frenchman who owns it came to explain all tapas on offer. We enjoyed all of our choices but left a bit hungry as portions are on the small side. For example, you get four petoncles but they are tiny. If you are sharing, it is not much. Very tasty though. Reasonable prices.

Very nice place, the owner was so kind. He recomended us some dishes and he also introduced them to us. The food was delicious. I would also say the atmosphere was a plus!

Really excellent! Relaxed atmosphere, amazing decoration and superb cuisine in the core of Puigcerdà. Enjoy!
