La Coccinelle - Reservar uma mesa

I'm going to have to agree with some of the last reviews - the place is inviting from the outside and the staff are friendly, but the food is simply too ordinary. The service was extremely slow, particularly remember having to wait roughly 40minutes for mains to arrive after a starter - while there was only one other group in the restaurant. The main, mind you, was just some cabbage and an assortment of sausages - so unless the chef started to chop the cabbage after our order, the delay in service was by no means justified. It's not a tourist trap, but not a meal that you'd remember with pleasant memories.

We had dinner at La Coccinelle after a long day of siteseing in Strasbourg, The menu is pure Alsacian and was explained to us. Although the food was good, and the service was curteous, I was not impressed with the taste or the fact that almost everything is fried. I had the Cordon bleue chicken with cheese and local pasta, the portions are quite large and the prices are very affordable, around 20E for an entree and main dish.

The food was well above average, the portions filling, the prices reasonable. The restaurant is very cute inside and the waitress very polite. Only downside, the service was extremely slow- it took exactly one hour to bring our lunch (4 people.) Reservations are strongly recommended.

Too fat, not espcially friendly, small. Te food is too greasy - traditional cuisine is no excuse to have potatoes swimming in grease. Poor wines.

We had a gorgeous meal, experienced great service and the kids got colouring so everyone very content
