La Cueva Du Fort - Reservar uma mesa

We were looking for somewhere slightly away from St.-Jean-de-Luz. This is a relatively quiet area with a number of nice restaurants. We had not booked but the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had the mussels with chorizo which were a little on the small side but quite tasty. I had the crepe Suzette to finish which was delicious!

This restaurant is much cheaper than its neighbours. It is less of a gastronomic destination but if you are after a simple fish or seafood lunch at a sensible price, you will be satisfied. Much improved since its previous life as a pizzeria.

Moules were elderly and spread over the inside of the shell. Sardines were grilled in a harsh tasting oil which all but killed the taste of sardines. Had to wait 20 mins for coffee and had to remind them twice. They were not busy.

Fabolous restaurant... great service...what grumpy people put terrible and. Poor is crazy. Lovely food.Great spot.Owner works so hard.

I had merlu and gambas and a rather nice chocolate desert. My son had a steak. Good service. Would recommend
